Second Chances is all about giving inmates more ways to get back out into society with “improved behaviors.” The expansion adds a number of programs to Prison Architect, such as Animal Therapy, Meet & Greet, and Former Prisoner Classes. Depending on an inmate’s actions, they can be granted early release, though some could end up back in the clink, or have their sentences extended.
There are even ways for inmates to use their good behavior to open up shops, “including a Bakery, Restaurant, and Therapy Room,” according to Paradox.
The DLC expansion releases alongside a free Prison Architect update, The Pin, which adds more objects to the game, as well as new actions, policies, and rooms.
The game’s last expansion, Prison Architect: Going Green, added farming elements to the management simulator. Stay tuned for our review on Prison Architect Second Chances.
Other additions include the Reception Quick Room, Staff Keys Policy, construct outdoor rooms, allow prisoners to use recreational facilities during free time, and additional Objects.
