Their first partnership with Sprint a few days ago now allows for new Pokéstops and gyms at over 10,000 Sprint, Boost Mobile, and Sprint at Radio Shack locations. For a special treat to celebrate, Sprint stores will now carry in-store charging stations for players.
Their latest partnership with Starbucks also offers a little bonus. In addition to adding a whole heap of Pokéstops and gyms for the U.S., the coffee shops are selling a special edition Pokémon GO Frappuccino!
The developers also say to keep an eye on their Twitter feeds and official channels on December 12 for more information about upcoming content. They’re being a bit tight-lipped about the whole thing, but with recent datamining, it’s possible Niantic will be releasing the second generation of Pokémon real soon.
This seems to be the beginning of a trend for more business partnerships to come. Maybe this is a small answer to many players’ concerns about there not being enough pokéstops around. Maybe we’ll even get the fables trading feature after this? Who knows! One thing’s for sure: Niantic is still focused on adding content to the game for a more entertainment.
