Available now, the brand-new Battlez Mode represents Plants vs. Zombies’ first foray into PvP, pitting players against one another in head-to-head, asynchronous battles to accrue the highest score and move up the leaderboards. The actual scoring works a little differently from the main game in Battlez, as you’ll gain more points for zombie kills the farther away they are from your home. Colored banners at the bottom of the screen delineate these scoring zones, and your score for each kill will appear in that zone’s color. If you don’t manage to take out a zombie before it reaches its destination, you won’t lose, but you also won’t gain any points as the lawnmower clears that row. All the while, you’ll be keeping an eye on the top of the screen, where a meter indicates your opponent’s progress.

With Battlez maps set to change each week, daily activities, and weekly in-game tournaments, there’s never been a better time to partake in garden warfare. Plants vs. Zombies 2 is available to download for free from the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more Plants vs. Zombies 2 info, tips, and more.
